What should i bring?
Most routes will only require you to bring a good pair of walking shoes (like running shoes, Tevas, or Chacos, you don't have to wear boots) and a bottle of water (1 liter) and any important personal things you might need, e.g., inhaler, epi-pen...
Everything else (all gear, snacks, and food) will be provided by us.
what if it rains?
We hike in all kinds of weather, be it rain or even snow. In the event that the trip becomes unsafe because of the weather, then we will cancel the trip and provide a full refund.
can i bring my pet?
Dogs, cats, iguanas... and all other normal pets are wonderful and great friends, but they are unfortunately not allowed to join us on the trail.
what if i have to cancel my trip?
Can't make it? No problem, just please let us know at least one week prior to your trip to get a full refund.
What do i wear?
Great question! For our day hikes we suggest wearing comfortable pants, or shorts, that are easy to hike in and a comfortable top. Just remember if it is hot out you might be sweating, and if it is cold out you will want a jacket. If you book an overnight hike, we will plan specifically with you about what to wear.
What about food? What if i have specific dietary needs?
OUR MEALS ARE NOT STANDARDIZED. We are hear to give YOU the best experience, so talk with us, are you gluten free? Lactose intolerant? Vegan? Vegetarian? We will make fresh and delicious meals that are best for YOU.
WHat about bears? Can i bring my firearm?
NO. Please do not bring your firearm. Contrary to popular belief, black bears are kind creatures and are not out there to hunt you. They are very scared of humans and will avoid us. The only danger with bears comes from improper food storage and we are very trained to keep our camp bear-free.
